How can I find out the IP address of my site (or any site, for that matter)?
The IP number for your FutureQuest® web site is listed in the Server Info section of your CNC, where you will find a great deal of information that should be helpful to you.
You can also find it referenced in QuestAdmin under the Service Details for that package, and in your FutureQuest Activation Letter which was emailed when the package was initially set up.
Depending upon the OS (Operating System) you are using, there should be a utility available that will allow you to perform a ping or tracert from your computer to any site.
In Windows 95/98/ME, open a DOS window and type "ping domain.com". This will ping the domain and display the IP address.
In Windows 2000 and XP, click Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt and type "ping domain.com". This will ping the domain and display the IP address.
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, click the Start orb (or use the Windows key plus R), type cmd in the search box, and hit your Enter key. Then type "ping domain.com" to ping the domain and show the IP address.
If using a Mac, the Network Utility program found in your Utilities folder holds many features. One of these features is the ability to conduct a ping, which will display the IP address.
