Where can I view FutureQuest's PHP info & configuration? (phpinfo)
Posted on 24 October 2003 04:44 PM
The phpinfo file will output a large amount of information about the current state of PHP. This includes information about PHP compilation options and extensions, the PHP version, server information and environment, the PHP environment, OS version information, paths, master and local values of configuration options*, HTTP headers, and the GNU Public License. It is often recommended that you view the phpinfo file on your own web site to ensure all of the variables are accurate for the server that your web site is actually running on. There are a couple of ways to view the PHP Info file.
  1. If you do not currently have a full package hosted with FutureQuest, click here to view the PHP Info file on a web site that FutureQuest hosts.

  2. If you do have a full package with FutureQuest you may view the PHP Info file in either of the following ways:

    • Visit The Server Info section of your CNC and scroll down to the Version Information section. From there click on the link titled Click here for phpinfo next to "PHP Module Version:". This will bring up the phpinfo file specific to your domain.

    • You may also create your own phpinfo file (especially handy if you would like others to be able to view it)
An example of the entire page you could create for your own phpinfo file is as follows:
    <body bgcolor=#FFFFFF>
    <p><? phpinfo() ?></p>
Save the file as phpinfo.php and upload it to your www directory. At that point, if you go to http://www.yourdomain.tld/phpinfo.php you will be able to see the current status.

Click Here to see how the above page is running on another FutureQuest hosted account.

*The Local Value shown in phpinfo() reflects the server's actual configuration and settings. The Master Value reflects a stock (default) PHP configuration.
