Password protection for my stats?
Password protection for my stats?
Article
If your package was set up after July 27, 2003 your stats were password protected by default with your account username and password upon account activation.
If your package was set up prior to that date then your stats were not password protected by default and you would have to password protect them in one of two ways.
A related FAQ that explains both methods may be
viewed here
.
Note: When utilizing your CNC to password protect your stats for the first time you may see the following warning:
"Warning: You have an .htaccess file in this directory already, or have manually edited the CNC-generated file. This is fine, but if it contains any Password Protection that the CNC did not generate, the CNC will NOT remove this protection.
If you have manually protected this directory, you may receive a 500 Internal Server Error in that directory after applying this feature. It is recommended that you view the file to make sure you have no Manual Password Protection in this file.
The CNC will not edit any lines it did not produce, so you are free to have other directives in your .htaccess file.
If you have not modified the .htaccess file since you obtained your FutureQuest account you may safely disregard this warning. If you are not sure you may wish to view the contents of the .htaccess file within your /big/dom/xdomain/www/stats directory and if empty then proceed with the password protection
Regardless of whether you have password protected your own stats or if they were protected by default you can change the users and passwords for access to them using your CNC File Manager. Specific instructions for resetting your stats password can be found
here
